Ayutepeque is a farm located close to Santa Ana, on the slopes of the volcano, sometimes called
«Ilamatepec” (in Nahuatl, an original Aztec language). Located just below El Manzano, between 1000 and 1200 MASL, on a volcanic soil, this farm covers 85 hectares.
El Salvador is the smallest country in Central America, but that does not keep it from producing quality coffee beans, known for their strong, rich flavors. El Salvador Ilamatepec coffee is produced at high elevations with ideal environments of rich volcanic soil, moderate sunshine and temperatures, and sufficient rainfall.
Company by Emilio Lopez is a producer, miller and exporter of the finest origin coffee in El Salvador. In 2001 Emilio Lopez decided to move into the business of coffee. For six generations, his family had been growing coffee in El Salvador, but he wanted to start something new and unique in El Salvador.
In 2005, Emilio and his team built a mill (el beneficio) in the middle of the El Manzano farm, in order to process all its coffee and to control the quality of the final product. Now, his company is considered as one of the best mills in Central America and is able to process all its coffees, using different processes with the constant goal of attaining perfection.
